About the Front Porch Stage

What is the Front Porch Stage?

The Front Porch Stage is an outdoor performance stage located on the grounds of the Sioux Empire Fair. It was build in 1999 to showcase local musical talent during the fair. The year the Fair runs August 11th through August 16th.

 

What kinds of music are you looking for?

All kinds of performed music is welcome on the Front Porch! We had youth bands, gospel groups, variety combos, drum lines, choirs, vocalists, country bands, rock bands, bluegrass music and school ensembles.

 

What are the performance times?

The Front Porch starts each day at 1:00pm and runs until about 7:00pm. Performances generally start on the hour and run about 30 to 40 minutes.
